Interesting interpretation! the player there doesn't look much like Zezito but I like the way you setup the scene. See the loading screens I have prepared in the game pages for c64, MO5 and Acorn Electron. But I have moved on to other projects. I have closed this c64 project, I won't work on it anymore or do any extra advertising or even physical copies. This was just to test durexforth and I think that is done. Cheers
‘Zezito in the Glittering Caves’. A small, but nice arcade game. You are Zezito, whose job it is to paint everything he can get his hands on. To do this, however, you must first collect the paint pot and the paint roller. As soon as you have the ‘objects of desire’, you can get started. Walk over the areas, which will then be coloured automatically. You can also collect crystals to increase your points. Of course, you have to make sure that snails and other creatures don't get in the way, as you only have three available lives (at the start). Once all the areas have been painted, a door will appear that you can use to leave the cave. This is also one of the (few) titles that I have on my ‘will play again’ list, even if not in the near future. I do have to mention one small shortcoming, however, which is ‘jump/jump over higher ledges’. Unfortunately, you often get stuck on an edge when trying to get to the top. But this can also just be a problem of ‘you still have to practise a bit’. We'll see ;-). In any case, I can give it a recommendation and look forward to more rounds :-).
"Zezito in the Glittering Caves".
Very fun and captivating platform game with great, high-res graphics. The ingame sound is also fantastic. However, there seem to be a few slowdowns in some levels. Our German-language review can be found at 00:59:05. English subtitles are also available. Subscription to our YouTube and Twitch channel is welcome. 🙂
I just love this fantastic game with its beautiful music 🤩 I have played it for several hours in the last few days and you really transcend into the ultimate 8 bit atmosphere. Thank you so much for making life even more fun.
I love it. As of level 4 (still playing) great balance between playable and difficulty, and I don't feel like I'm being totally punished when I just want a bit of cassual gaming. I love the graphics too. I started my 8-bit life with my dad's ZX Spectrum and was used to simple but detailed graphics when I got my own C64. I feel like many newer C64 games show a great style in highres with not too noisy graphics. So thanks :)
Looks great, nice to see the hi-res mode being used, always tended to be underused on the C64 which was a shame as it tends to allow for a more detailed look to some things like sprites. Happy to purchase. Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much for your words and support. Yes there are more and more games using hires on the c64. I do love all the other C64 graphic styles too. Sometimes people seem to associate hires c64 games with the ZX Spectrum and don't like it but even if the game looks similar in a way because of hires things can be very different in terms of how the graphics are handled by the hardware, for example in this game, the resolution is 320x200 pixels, that is 40x25 characters in a screen, so in this game most levels won't fit in the smaller 256x192(32x24 characters) speccy screen, the levels need to be adapted. Also I am using hires character mode on the c64 which doesn't exist on the speccy, what's the difference then? well on the c64 this mode uses 2k for the charset and 1000 bytes for the screen data, this is 3k, on the spectrum it would use 6kb for the bitmap screen and 2 kb for the character set, so it would be 8k, here there is a difference of 5kb and the c64 screen is bigger as I mentioned previously, so the c64 is more economical in terms or memory here . Another thing are the sprites, I am using hires hardware sprites and they can go over the graphics without colour clash and they use very little cpu and memory to be displayed on the screen, on the spectrum one needs to program a software sprite engine and this uses a lot of cpu and memory for sprite data and not only the sprites need to be monochrome as well as the graphics they will be plotted over on screen. Having said this, the graphics on each machine look great in their own way, for example the zx spectrum version of the game looks like this.
looks like a spectrum game. might be good but the speccy look is a an absolute no-go for me, not gonna lie. good luck for your game but i'm out. nah/10
edit: no need to apologize, not everything is for everyone. it's simply not my style that's all.
It's great that we already have the full release 😊 I don't remember if I made you an offer to release a physical version of ZEZITO 😊 If not, and you're interested, Komoda & Amiga and I invite you to talk 😊
Great and funny platformer, with plenty of levels and a cheerful soundtrack. Let’s hope for more games this good on the Commodore 64. We’ll include the game in the new releases section of issue #29 of our magazine, which will be published in December.
A very good platform game, with great music. Well done. Nice co-op production with Odie/Cosine. I hope we see more new stuff from you in the near/distant future. If you'd like a better tape loader for this game featuring music and a koala paint picture. I have one in my showcase, which you could use. However, that is entirely up to you :)

Best regards from the editorial team
Thank you :)
My colleagues at the editorial office forgot about the proposal to release the game in a physical version 😊#Komoda & Amiga
That looks great! Has similar vibes to Night Knight I believe ❤️❤️❤️
Night Knight - usebox.net https://share.google/0yRwMMFFLpvhGikhn
The monochrome sprites from the msx make them look similar and also, of course, painting the tiles. :)
very good
Thank you Marco!
Very nice game!
aw thank you so much!

Thank you Richard! I am also a member of Cosine, for a long time actually but this is the first Cosine release :)
