It took me forever to finally get to World Maker, and I instantly wish I could travel back in time to listen to this sooner. From the first to the last note, this album is beyond brilliance and would've definitely made my Top 10 list of 2025. It transcends music, emanating an intense presence. Music to erect your inner, spiritual shrine to and bathe in the glory of the goddess of the dawn (whatever that means). The soundtrack of a celestial, golden, glowing sphere illuminating the sky. Grand!

I try not to draw comparisons but I can't shake the fact that this album really reminds me of Callisto's 2009 album, Providence. There's a similar level of experimentation and dynamics with a western/Americana feel to some of the songs that makes me feel like I'm in the late 1800s/early 1900s, and that's a really good thing, in my book! Oh Hiroshima comes out swinging in "Wild Iris" and doesn't let up for the entire 43 minute runtime. Some very cool and creative post-rock on display here!
