Pascal is an American filmmaker who is a member of an elite club of USC Cinema alumni that includes George Lucas, Robert Zemeckis, Ron Howard, John Singleton, and John Carpenter, among others who have either written, produced, or directed a feature that was released in a formal distribution deal. Pascal has done all three.
Pascal has an English dad, a Scottish mom, he was born in Palos Verdes California, spent a few childhood years in Oakton Virginia, and mostly grew up in Houston Texas. He attended The Potomac School in McLean Virginia and The Awty International School in Houston Texas.
Pascal is a classically trained pianist who began playing when he was 3 years old and a self taught drummer who started playing at 15. Fortunately his classical piano training helped him gravitate toward heavy metal.
He started acting around the age of 7 when he was cast as the SuperVillain in the school play for misbehaving in class.
He started playing football (what Americans call soccer) around the age of 7 and went on to become a Goal Keeper and Captain of his high school team which won 3 consecutive Texas State Championships.
Pascal was recruited by Rice University to join The Shepherd School of Music's inaugural class as a piano composition major but due to damage to his fingers from goal keeping and a preference for movies he decided to return to his home state of California to pursue making movies.
He did his undergraduate degree at The University of Southern California, majored in theatre and minored in film production while playing *football for USC.
He returned to USC for his masters degree in film production. His thesis film, "The Cop, the Priest, their Chicks, and a Rockstar", debuted at the Directors Guild of America in Hollywood California in 2001.
Pascal released his first feature film Gone Dark in 2013 which qualified him for membership to the very exclusive Next Film Club of elite USC Cinema alumni.
Pascal has completed his second feature film, is in post production on his third, and development on his fourth.
He has a YouTube channel with some of his film work @pascalcooper4518 and also runs a YouTube channel about Goal Keeping and trains young goal keepers in Houston Texas @G0ALIEG0D (*The 0s are zeros).
