“To facilitate free movement of passengers and control congestion, sale of platform tickets at CSMT, LTT, and Kalyan stations will be limited from April 18 to May 15, except for those helping senior citizens, the sick, or small children,” a Central Railway official confirmed.

5-hr block between CSMT and Vidyavihar on April 20

In another development, Central Railway will hold a five-hour mega block on Sunday, April 20, to undertake necessary maintenance work. The block will be in force on the UP and DOWN slow lines between CSMT and Vidyavihar from 10.55 am to 3.55 pm. Local trains during this time will be diverted to fast lines and stopped only at selected stations, missing Masjid, Sandhurst Road, Chinchpokli, and Currey Road.

A similar block will be undertaken on the Trans Harbour route from Thane to Vashi/Nerul from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm, where services will be suspended during this period. The timings should be checked and travel planned accordingly, the Railways said.
