Decoding the Market Stats

Right now you are hearing (or seeing) over and over that the next 30-60 days is the ideal time to buy a home this year. Interest rates are starting to come back down, which means those buyers that have been sitting on the sidelines the last couple of years will be flooding the market. What does this mean for you as a buyer:

1) Competition will be high this spring as there will likely be multiple offers and waived contingencies.

2) With multiple offers on properties, you’ll likely see over-asking prices again.

But, right now could be the sweet spot to buying a home BEFORE the buying frenzy begins. Plus, many lenders are offering free refinancing later this year when rates further decrease.

If you’re a seller and looking to move to a new home, this market may be less stressful to sell and buy at the same time than waiting for the spring market. Although you may get more money for your home in the spring, you’ll be paying more money to buy your replacement home at that time as well. Get ahead of the frenzy!
