Hey yall! I’m stoned af and watching star trek on a weekend, naturally. I lost my place since last weekend in TNG season 3, but I knew that I wasn’t far in so I just watched all the intros until I found where I left off. Episode 8 “the price”, Troi gets frustrated with the replicator for wanting a “real” chocolate sundae. This raised a question for me, wouldn’t food replicators be intelligent enough to simulate the process of “the standard” ingredients being processed into the recipe? Like I thought that was the point of being able to say “Earl grey tea, hot”. Like wouldn’t she just have to say “betazoid chocolate sundae” or whatever?
FWIW if anyone was still wondering if they’d do anything to fix the reported cliffhanger SFA is going to end on, or if there was a chance in hell that Year One would be a thing.

The first change.org petition to Renew “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” for a third season hit 30,000 signatures today, and is over 31,000 at the time of this post.
I get why they couldn’t have Odo transforming into a bear all the time, but this would mainly just be another actor, and I’d say his potential feels a bit wasted.
My gripe with this magazine is the cover clearly states it is celebrating the franchise’s 60th anniversary but only has content going up to STB. Nothing for rest of New Trek. Pisses me off when you don’t acknowledge the franchise as a whole when you say it is for the 60th anniversary.
Regardless of the circumstances around its cancelation, the latest ‘Star Trek’ series has been robbed of the chance almost every other show in the franchise has been given.
We urge Paramount to listen to the voices of millions of fans who are yearning for more adventures in the Starfleet Academy. Renewing the show for a third season is not just a business decision; it's about continuing a legacy, honouring storytelling, and nurturing a global community of Trekkers.
We’re trying to rewatch Invasion now that it’s concluded (or cancelled). First season is heavy going, lots of parallel plots that only slowly intertwine if at all, and not necessarily so much happening in every episode.
You have a recurring role as Chancellor Kelrec on Star Trek: Starfleet Academy alongside Holly Hunter. What has it been like jumping on the whole Star Trek ride?

The title reflects the 300th day since the start of Fall Semester and as the first caption states, the end of the cadets’ first academic year. That places it around mid- or late June 3192, which is when the academic year in the US usually ends. This also places it approximately 87 days, or just under 3 months, after the previous episode.
As the year comes to an end, Caleb must choose between the life he thought he wanted and the life he’s built for himself at Starfleet Academy. Meanwhile, Nahla breaks protocol in one final gambit to keep a promise to Caleb.
I high recommend watching the video to understand the choices behind this dish. The recipe is listed as being 4 servings, but I’m not sure what they considered a single serving. The amount in the photo is only like half. So I have leftovers for days.
Watching Star Trek Strange New Worlds, I’m enjoying so far after watching season 1, but I personally think Paramount appeals for nostalgia more than a new public, specially with lots and lots of reference who only fans will catch.

Just watched this. Highly recommend it. While it is about the making of a fan film, at large it more about George Takei’s contribution to Asian American representation and the representation of diversity as a whole. If I needed something to help explain why Star Trek has made such an impact on me, I would point people to this documentary.
First time I complaing about graphics, but they also use like 6GB VRAM for game which looks from PS3 or Xbox 360. The characters looks like toys, why it looks ugly?
I had some time to fill yesterday, so I decided to check out The Star Trek Academy. It’s a Trek podcast co-hosted by an ethics professor and a college professor. Not that I ever disliked her or anything like that; I just always heard some people being strong fans but I’d never watched Voyager, yet, and generally tried not to look too closely, for fear of spoilers. Funnily enough, I watched the first few episodes of Prodigy before I’d ever watched any Voyager.
It’s been so long since I’ve seen this movie. Someone just told me that it heavily parallels the episode “Shore Leave”. Can someone tell me if there is any merit here or if this is simply crazy? Please.
God damn this is awesome. Hero Within unfortunately has shutdown production due to the licensing for Star Trek. This was part of the last batch they made in January. The inner lining has a diagram of the NX-01 hull, the bridge and situation room.
Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown is out today, and might grab you if you love the license and can forgive some overfamiliar survival RPG systems.
Whenever we see Kanar portrayed in the show it’s always a thick viscous liquid for something most humans would consider a drink. But it occurred to me that the vast majority of the times we see it, it’s not in the normal Cardassian environment. Cardassians like it much warmer than Humans and Bajorans. Would Kanar be less viscous on Cardasia than we see it on DS9? Even most instances when we see it on Cardassia, the founder is very sick and demanding the temperature be turned down in the facility.
