There is emptiness lying at the bottom of the precipice beyond the anguish that is the colony of the centipedes, thy shall know pain. For what i have lived and suffered through the many trials and tribulations, for what thou have created may it be a stepping stone to more chaos.....
Really cool experience, but extremely short considering the level design mostly consists in blocks and basic shapes, which could have made it cheap and easy to add more content.
Great controls, great concept, great graphics, great audio, and great overall feel. I had an amazing experience playing this game. I wish you guys can make many more games as good as this. *Some spoilers* After the first checkpoint, where you first get to the big "open" chamber, I died so many times. There I understood that this game was about patience and controlled risk taking: sometimes you have to jump and take it. The monster inspired a lot of terror, way before seeing it in action.
"Hey Leafy Games! I just bought the game, but my Chromebook's Celeron CPU doesn't support AVX instructions, so the new Godot 4 version (v1.41) crashes instantly with an Illegal Instruction error. Would it be possible for you to upload the last Godot 3 version (like v1.32 or older) as a 'Legacy' file download? Thank you so much!"
Sir, with utmost respect, i request that i attain this game on the platform for hosting games named "Steam", owned by Valve. This request is due to the fact that i also own the game here, but you cant get the trophies, named "Achievements" on this game hosting platform, named "Itch". I would really like to get them.
P.S: Electronic brains were not used to make this comment.
hey there again the audio is still bugged for me is there a chance i could get a Steam Key or something idk if that matters but i really wanna play this game it seems so coo
Loved this so much, I need to replay it a bunch more and beat nightmare mode too. Definitely following you and excited to see what's coming next. Wouldn't mind updates to this game too for sure.
Really loved the atmosphere and movement in this game. The grappling hook mechanics mixed with the constant fear of falling made for a super tense experience.
Made a video on it here if anyone wants to check it out:
First off, this game kicks ass, I've been obsessed with how it feels for a week now since the moment I picked it up.
I'm a Godot dev as well and I was wondering if there was any chance I could bug ya and ask how you approached making the grappling hook feel like it does in Godot. I know it's gotta work with hinges and rigidbodies but the way it feels is so specific that I was wondering if there was anything you experimented with that really made a difference in how it felt to use.
I'm curious as hell but I also don't mean to pester. Are there any devlogs you posted I could read? If you're cool with chatting I'm @pudgypoultry.bsky.social on Bluesky. Either way, thank you for your work! I'm gonna keep forcing my friends to play it lol
FINALLY finished it and it's been my little personal challenge, because there are not so many checkpoints along the way (at least I didn't find them). The game mechanics feel very good and I haven't encountered any bugs. Absolutely loved the experience. And it's a definite nope for the nightmare mode (maybe).
I absolutely loved this game. The grappling hook movement feels amazing once you get used to it, and being constantly hunted keeps the tension high the entire time.
What really stood out to me was how unique the experience feels. It’s not relying on constant jumpscares, but instead on movement, sound design, and pure dread. The creature chasing you is genuinely terrifying, and the vertical descent mechanic makes everything feel even more stressful in the best way possible.
For such a short game, it leaves a huge impression. Easily one of the most memorable indie horror experiences I’ve played in a while.
Amazing! However, I was lowkey slow close to giving up, but I pushed through and beat normal mode :) I may jump back in and experience nightmare mode, just not right now haha. But great work, I really liked the soundtrack and the mechanics! Keep it up!
Super Fun Game. The grapple mechanic had me hooked. I wasn't able to beat First Kiln Mode cause I was having too much fun. Oh and there was a giant centipede. They were chill. Really fun Idea! 10/10
Amazing game it felt like a reverse white knuckle! The surprise centipede had me panicking and stressing amazing love it alot cant wait too see more of your work
I uhh.... I think i went past few idols but ummm... i took a lot of risks here and there, died about 10-15 times and got to the end in the crisp time of 47 minutes.
Overall very good game with clear mechanics and a gameplay loop and well made physics.
loved the game mechanics i trully felt like spider man the enviroment was a bit too dull but dint really care too much about that the centipede was barely attacking me rarrely ever saw em but still had fun it was hard but it had its scary times it was aight watch ma vid and see for yourself 7|10
What a lovely game. The movement is incredibly satisfying, and I love how you get pushed to get better and play riskier on every attempt. Still making my way through First Kiln.
I'm sure you're being overwhelmed with suggestions and requests, but I was wondering if you had considered these already:
-Being able to reel in the hook while it's still freefalling
-An extra hard hook mode where it doesn't become static on hit, but needs to actually latch on to a ledge
Absolute amazing. What i dig more of the game is how fun it is to use the rope and descend, the map design is so flawless and its so fun to master the physics. The hook is also incredible well programmed, doesnt bug at any way and is super fun and intuitive to use. Easy to learn, hard to control. Once you control the hook you feel like a trapeze artist, its so satisfying to use.
Another point is that, besides the great map design, the whole aesthethic of it feels so incredible, the only comparision i can make is with games like Shadow Of The Colossus and Ico. The megalophobia and a little liminal spaces feel so good and so fitting, honestly i could just activate the no clip and wander around the map seeing every detail of every structure and every path i didnt see.
Great game, i got it here for free but im definitely gonna buy a steam version too, its that good.
This game is one of my all-time favorites. I adore the physics of the platforming, and the way the swinging and the falling and the jumping all work together is incredibly fun. Thank you so much for adding native controller support, too! I don't have the space to hook up a mouse (and I don't appreciate the exploitation of rodents) so the ability to play with my gamepad was awesome!
Thank you for making the closest thing to a Spider-Man game I have ever played, and thank you for making it so I could try it on my Mac! it runs very smoothly, despite my slight deficiency in RAM, and I am very privileged to have been able to play!

I hate insects so much… this game is gross! (Good! But gross) lol
I Was Hunted By A CENTIPEDE MONSTER

I made a vid too....
i love the mechanics i never played anything like this before, i do have a phobia but thats what makes it fun lmao
Is this going to be updated in tandem with the steam version or will i have to purchase the steam version at some point?

there is a gigantic second map for you to explore if you want more

Very nice game ^^
Good atmosphere and exploration. The gameplay with rope physics is the best part.

I may have fallen to my death time and time again, but this was a fun game. Really thought provoking story. 10/10 will fall again. :3
Little heads up: the Linux archive accidentally contains another archive. Not a big deal, but it makes the download size larger than required.

UNIQUE GAMEPLAY
Highly suggest playing this game! While you're at it, why not also check out my playthrough of it? ❤️ Thank you to any of you that watch my video.

Loved the game! Its actually pretty short (and easy, i died only once) would LOVE to see more maps or games like this
Theres like 4 different game modes
Huh? Weird, i only saw sandbox and settings for the base run
Amazing! However, I was lowkey slow close to giving up, but I pushed through and beat normal mode :) I may jump back in and experience nightmare mode, just not right now haha. But great work, I really liked the soundtrack and the mechanics! Keep it up!
first kiln kicked my ass but we did it
I love these types of games!
Very very fun game! super replayable too
Sandbox mode is terrifying when you set the centipede speed to max, you genuinely cant make it out of the first area
ERM.. What the sigma 6/5 Game
What a nice game! one of the best i have played
I'm obsessed with this game

that would make for an awesome toggle or extra mechanic in a (realistic gamemode)
