My first thought looking at that is she gonna cut herself on that axe. Get a proper sheath, FFS!

I suppose an empty hand gesture is about all the sociopaths in the c-suite can muster as far as conveying human-like emotions.
They’d probably like to come colonize our planet, but with 2x the gravity of Earth, I bet it’s hard to build a rocket that can actually get them into space, much less travel 1800 light years.
In most cases, not all that much. YouTube is mainly useful for getting views and building an audience. It’s a combination of revenue sources like sponsors, merchandise, donations, etc., that really make it worthwhile for creators.
I often fall asleep watching Columbo on Jellyfin. It’s a nice, calming, make-believe world where elite douchebags get their just deserts.

Quality is speed.

I’m assuming ads visible from Earth will be among the first developments.
I assume at this point, the world sees us as the 3rd picture.
Yeah, like Anthropic’s leaked code that was converted to Python and open sourced. It seems proprietary to open source is a bigger opportunity than open source to proprietary. If there’s already a FOSS version, why would anyone bother with a proprietary bastardization of it?

Everyone knows a real picture of Earth would have the North American centered. This is clearly fake.
If you’re not gay, you must prove it by wearing a birthday tiara and listening to nothing but Judy Garland the whole day.
Glyphosate has also been linked to gluten intolerance: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3945755/
Maybe at some point, all the “gluten free” products will switch to “glyphosate free”. Until then, I’ve been buying imported flour from Italy, where its use is significantly more regulated than here in the US, although not entirely banned.
Yeah, Bazzite is great for anyone already using Steam. My main personal reason for not using Bazzite is the fact that Steam can’t be easily uninstalled.
We are planning to join the Plasma release schedule starting with Plasma 6.7 (in June), which will make it possible for distributions to ship it in their repositories.
Yeah, didn’t realize this myself. Android TV is just something I’ve been tolerating. I also have a Linux living room gaming PC running Pegasus Frontend and it’s annoying that I often have to break out a mouse and keyboard. Linux HTPCs and couch gaming PCs haven’t really been a great UX so far, so I’m excited to see Bigscreen finally release.
I did previously try Steam gaming mode, but it doesn’t work with a USB remote from my tests. It also treats non-Steam games as 2nd class citizens that can’t be cleanly organized and categorized. Another huge downside is it’s proprietary and collects data.
Yep, it will run SteamOS and will have Valve’s Lepton (fork of Waydroid) to support Android games. It’s also an ARM device and will use Valve’s FEX to run x86 games. Supposedly, Half Life Alyx runs pretty decently on it.
I hope Valve’s Steam Frame is the last nail in their coffin. Unlike the Meta Quest, which is a locked down, privacy nightmare and the Miiverse that is beyond pointless, Valve has actually innovated in this space. Also, devices purchased from Valve actually belong to you and you can do whatever you want with them.
UE5 has some great tech and MetaHuman Animator is fantastic. I appreciate that they allow anyone with under $1M in revenue to use their tech free of charge. MHA, for example, is the only decent facial mocap available to indies that doesn’t have an expensive subscription.
On the other hand, Epic Games has a lot of shit. I was especially annoyed with their Fab store and shutting down Sketchfab. Hopefully their layoff doesn’t negatively impact what they’re doing right.
