Anarchism@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Did the 70's Punk movement damage people's understanding or opinion of Anarchism?
15·24 days agoi don’t think it’s at all fair to blame the punks. the “anarchism=chaos” argument has been pushed by every authority figure since time immemorial to try to justify their own power over others.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the story of that time you got really sick?
7·27 days agowhen i was a kid, i got food poisoning or something at Great America (an amusement park), and projectile vomited corn dogs all over the parking lot.
(this is not the sickest i’ve been, but i do feel it’s probably the most entertaining story.)
probably unrelated. vulture bees are from south america.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is something society treats as normal that you secretly think is completely insane?
223·29 days agothere were estimated to be about 100 million people in the us in 2020 (the most recent numbers i could find, but it’s certainly higher now), that were not eligible to vote despite being bound by the countries laws. if you’re gonna tax people, and pass laws impacting them, they should at the bare minimum get a say in who gets to be the representatives making those decisions.
i have a solution for the medium difficulty puzzle, which the website is too confused to accept. (it keeps telling me my syntax is invalid.)
do you mean naturists?
naturalists: people who study plants and animals and such.
naturists: people who advocate being naked in public, usually for ethical, philosophical, or health reasons
i honestly can’t tell if you’re doing a bit, but if you’re not, is the moon also flat? if so, why do we always hear about the flat earth hypothesis, but nobody talks about the flat moon, the flat sun, the flat mars, and the flat venus?

6·1 month agoi only fought him on new game, but it was my first souls like, and i had done co-op with my partner for most of the rest of the game, so he was still pretty darn tough. i have heard before that they get pretty cray at high ng+ levels, but i can only imagine. honestly sounds more like a slog than a fun challenge to me though.

note: this post isnt a ragebait im serious this did happen.
just cause it happened doesn’t make it not ragebait. posting “linux is garbage” to a linux forum, when your problem wasn’t even really a linux problem is very much rage bait.
even if you had a bad experience, why try to persuade others? why do you give a shit what other people use? why shill for microslop?

a couple weeks ago my partner said something to the effect that i’ve always improved since she’s known me. it surprised and really touched me and i couldn’t help but cry a bit every time i thought about it for days afterward. i don’t usually think very highly of myself, and that just really cut me to the core (in a good way).
