Removed Comment Sounds like you’ve only read western propaganda about it.
The Uyghurs were initially radicalized by western intelligence agencies, in order to destabilize the region. Standard playbook. China put a stop to it, and put them in deradicalization programs, which were hugely successful. Most if not all of the Uyghurs have been reintegrated into Chinese society, with extra benefits to help them get set up.
And even the western agencies have had to drop their claims of genocide, and admit they never had evidence to back it up. They were just pissed to lose their radicals in the region. by surph_ninja reason: misinformation
