After joining the mymun Scholarship Delegation, it was time to kick off the 2025/2026 MUN season with a big conference, and what a strong start it was ! Berlin MUN 2025 is one of the last conference of 2025 within the MUN EUROPE circuit. It hosts about 300 delegates, for a total of 7 committees. Representing the UK in the European Council (EUCO), alongside Violet Frost, a fellow Mymun Scholarship Delegate, we both managed to win awards, an honorable mention on my part, that was the result of technical and productive debate. This lead to our delegation being recognized as "outstanding delegation" during the delegation awards ceremony, which we are both very proud of. This committee's topic was "collaboration with the Global South", which from the point of view of a political committee that aims to shape the goals of the EU, is a rather complicated topic for an intermediate-level committee, because of how wide the range of different sub-topics is. I would like to thank the organizers of this conference, my fellow delegates in EUCO and our chair, my mymun co-delegate and finally mymun for providing us delegates with subsidized conferences such as this one and opportunities to pursue our passion for debate and diplomacy. I’m excited to share that I’m starting a new role as Social Media Content Creator at mymun My journey with international Model UN began when a mymun post first appeared on my feed, leading me to attend my very first global conference. Now, being part of the team that helps make MUNs accessible to over 320,000 young people worldwide feels like a turning point in my life.

I hope one day I can inspire others the way you’ve inspired me. Today is International Women in Diplomacy Day, and as I sit with my coffee (and way too many open tabs), I find myself thinking about the women who came before me. The ones who spoke truth to power, who carved out space in rooms that weren’t built for them, who made diplomacy not just about policy, but about presence. In early June, I was awarded Outstanding Delegate for the African Union at LeiMUN 2025. That moment wasn’t just about recognition; it was about realization. Realizing that my voice has weight. That there’s power in preparation, yes, but also in perspective. In showing up, even when you doubt yourself. In speaking, even when you’ve been talked over. But honestly? What’s stayed with me the most isn’t just the award. It’s the sisterhood. My MUN women. The brilliant, driven, endlessly supportive friends who show up, lift each other, and remind me every day that leadership can be collaborative, empathetic, and powerful. You prove time and again that diplomacy is more effective when we do it together. So today, I’m not just celebrating women in diplomacy. I’m committing to being one of them. To lift others the way I’ve been lifted. To make space. Holding space. And reminding every young woman watching that your voice, your story, your vision, it matters more than you know.
