About me
Hi! I am an arts writer, curator and textile artist based in Kaurna Yarta/Adelaide. I have been curating in independent and organisational contexts since 2007, and have recently started making work again as an artist.
My practice has included making, in particular working with textiles to examine family history, and the poetics of ‘Australian’ space. My weaving references traditional Lithuanian motifs to explore identity and family. In 2024 my solo exhibition 'Catchment' was nominated for two SALA awards, and work ‘Flows that Trouble Me’ was a finalist in the Heysen Prize. In 2025 I will be exhibiting an exhibition 'All the Fires that Burn' at the Pod Gallery.
I am the Visual Arts Curator at The Mill, delivering the Visual Arts program and working closely with the community of artists, and was the Writer Coordinator for Neoterica 2024.
I'm neurodivergent and gender queer, and it is important to me to support safe and inclusive spaces, and build communities!
