In 1980, Dan Stembridge and Dr. Dennis Hawley founded the organization that is now known as Challenge Discovery Projects. Their commitment to comprehensive youth wellness has remained at the forefront of CDP’s work. In 2010, Denise Barnes joined as the first Development Director. Her contributions played a pivotal role in growing the organization to its current stature. In honor of our 45 years in the East End, our goal is to establish a legacy fund of $450,000. Every contribution to the fund will support the continued sustainability of CDP’s social and emotional learning, outpatient behavioral health counseling, and substance use therapy initiatives. Together, we can promote mental health in our community for generations to come. Make your pledge by June 30, 2025, and pledges will be paid in full by June 30, 2026. Thank you for your generous support!
