Jasper — The First Cat to Climb Ben Nevis 🏔 (May/June 2024) In May 2024, Jasper became the first cat to physically hike to the summit of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK. Unlike later cats who attempted the climb, Jasper walked the full route himself and wasn’t carried — even in changing weather conditions. His achievement was covered by multiple news outlets, including Edinburgh Live and international publications. You can find some of the original articles on my linktree! Later in 2024, other cats attempted Ben Nevis and the Three Peaks challenge, but these happened after Jasper’s climb. Many were carried part of the way due to weather. Some news coverage and AI search summaries have confused Jasper’s achievement with theirs — but Jasper’s climb came first, and he completed the entire route himself.
