SASS publishes three annual creative journals: 1978, Wattle, and Avenue. 1978 celebrates diverse sexualities and genders on campus. It is written, edited, and curated entirely by members of the USYD community who are women, non-binary, and/or members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The journal is named in reference to the first (illegal) Mardi Gras, which occurred in 1978. We are looking for editors-in-chief, general editors, prose fiction editors, poetry editors, non-fiction editors, a visual arts team, and a creative director!
