Become a Pen-pal!
Get involved with the Unchain Whatcom Pen-Pal Project to write letters to folks incarcerated in the Whatcom County Jail and Interim Work Center! Writing letters is a way to connect with community members who have been forcibly isolated and disappeared by the state. It builds a sense of responsibility and belonging among everyone involved and is an act of resistance against the carceral system. After you fill this form out, we will reach out to you with orientation times. These sessions run for 1 hour, typically in the evenings and are virtual. We will plan on reviewing expectations, logistics of writing, and will answer any questions! If you have any questions about this form itself, please DM us on Instagram at @unchain_whatcom, or email us at nnwcj@proton.me With solidarity, Unchain Whatcom unchainwhatcom.com Art credit to Molly Costello
