Ashish is studied from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and he was selected for a cultural exchange program between FTII and FAMU (Prague).
He is an alumni of Kyoto Filmmakers Lab (Masters session), Sundance Collab's Visual Storytelling Program, NAFF Fantastic Film School, Platform Busan and DocEdge Kolkata.
His short film as a writer-director, ‘Nagraj In Mumbai’, was winner at India’s largest 50-hour film making challenge, India Film Project (IFP) in 2016 and another short film ‘Doranga’ was screened in 3 Indian Film festivals.
He is currently working on feature film "Hiranyakashipu", which was a part of Filmcity-NFDC script lab and was pitched at NFDC film Bazaar 2021.
He also creatively contributed in Malayalam language film PAKA-River of Blood, which had its world premiere in Toronto International film Festival (TIFF) 2021.
His recent short film "Thodi Si Khushi - A bit of Happiness", is screened at more than 80 film festivals across the world.
