Event Location: 524 Blockhouse Bay Road, Blockhouse Bay Date & Time: 16th May 2026 10am - 3pm Contact: community@bhbaycommunitycentre.co.nz Expressions of interest for Blockhouse Bay Community Centre's, Cultures of the Whau, are now OPEN! In May, we will be celebrating the beautiful cultures within the Whau area of Tāmaki Makaurau. With the support from Whau Local Board and Lotteries - we are making it happen! Cultures of the Whau is a day that will bring people together under one roof to share, connect and enjoy the richness of our multicultural community. Our goal is to welcome people within our community to experience a day filled with delicious food, market stalls, captivating performances and hands-on workshops for all ages. Whether it's a performance, kai (food), stall holder, volunteer, activity/workshop host or something we've missed - we'd love to hear from you! Our building is owned and maintained by Auckland Council but our Centre is run by the community, for the community. We rely heavily on the involvement of our incredible staff and volunteers who go above and beyond on a day to day basis to provide nothing but aroha (love) and tautoko (support) to our people within the bay & surrounding suburbs.
