The Camas flower was a staple food source for the local first nation people of Victoria B.C. but due to land changes and invasive plants that these flowers have nearly gone extinct. But thankfully they haven't because of matriarchs who have worked hard on providing education and knowledge of these plants that are now thriving once more.
