Tell the Feds to Stop Logging Mature Public Forests The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is at it again — on the heels of the Outlaw Ridge project, the agency announced another logging project in the Cascade foothills. Located outside the small town of Scio, Oregon, within the Thomas Creek and Crabtree Creek watersheds, the

Act Now to Protect Roadless Wildlands Our last unroaded public forests are under attack. Again. The Trump administration plans to eliminate the Roadless Rule, a bedrock conservation policy that protects nearly two million acres of Oregon’s public forests and nearly 60 million acres nationwide from logging, road building, and destructive extractive practices. This rule preserves

Orwellian-named “Fix Our Forests Act” Moves Forward The misleadingly-named ‘Fix Our Forest Act’ (H.R. 471) is bad news for forests — it seeks to greatly increase logging on federally managed public lands, all under the guise of wildfire suppression. The Trump Administration’s current process to repeal the Roadless Rule does not include a single public meeting—so our community is hosting our own. Thank you for joining 350 Eugene, Cascadia Wildlands, FUSEE and Oregon Wild to learn and celebrate how roadless protections support diverse shared values and essential conservation outcomes. Most importantly, we’ll be taking collective action to stop this latest attack on our public lands. RSVP below and get a free "Wild About Roadless Forests" t-shirt! Supplies are limited!

The Cascadia Action Team or WildCAT is our amazing volunteer team that supports ongoing campaigns through education, outreach, advocacy, and hands-on action. Our volunteers have field check dozens of proposed timber sales, successfully stopped reckless logging proposals through a diversity of tactics, published dozens of letters to the editor and op-eds in local papers, applied pressure to key policymakers, and so much more, all while having fun and growing our movement for a wild Cascadia. Looking to get involved? Register here to tune into WildCAT Wednesdays during the second Wednesday of every month at 6:00 pm. Expect an update on our current campaigns, dates for upcoming field checking trips, announcements from each other, and ways to plug in. Everyone is welcome! If you have specific accessibility needs, email Madeline at madeline@cascwild.org.
