WASHINGTON, D.C. (Dec. 30, 2025) - D.C. United has signed defender Keisuke Kurokawa from Gamba Osaka in the J1 League, pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC). Sakura Matsuri 2026 - Subcommittee Interest Form
The 2026 Sakura Matsuri will be held on April 11 & 12, 2026 on Pennsylvania Avenue between 3rd and 7th Streets, NW in downtown Washington, DC. We are currently seeking new members to work on the various subcommittees that contribute to the success of the Matsuri. In a subcommittee role, you will work with other subcommittee members (generally a minimum of 3 members per area) to help manage one of the areas of the Sakura Matsuri (usually a minimum of 3 members on each subcommittee). This involves setup and breakdown of your area, managing the volunteers that staff your area, and providing assistance to guests of the Matsuri. As a subcommittee member, you'll have the opportunity to attend regularly scheduled meetings with the JASWDC staff and other subcommittee members to engage in planning for the Matsuri.

Internships with the Society are available to a limited number of college students each term. Internships are unpaid positions. Depending on the university's internship program, credit is sometimes offered. Interns must pledge to work a minimum of three full days a week for a period of no less than eight weeks.
