Jodi Miller’s dreamy landscape paintings are deeply influenced by her upbringing on a family farm and her extensive global travels during a 20-year career as an aerospace engineer in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Drawing on these experiences, her art explores how the spaces we inhabit shape our sense of connection and belonging. “To discover, to reconnect with my roots, to acknowledge the vast possibilities that lie ahead, just beyond the horizon…that is why I create.” Her impressionist works, though imagined, resonate with a sense of familiarity, blending abstraction with atmospheric perspective to create awe-inspiring spaces where time feels suspended. By layering paint with expressive movement and depth, she invites viewers to engage with these evocative scenes, encouraging them to explore the narrative and forge their own emotional connection within the landscape.
