KOSSDA operates as the Korean Social Science Data Archive within Seoul National University, managing research datasets that span family dynamics, public health, environmental studies, education policy, welfare systems, labor markets, and household economics. The archive maintains the comprehensive Korean Social Survey alongside qualitative interview collections that document social trends across multiple sectors. Through its academic partnerships, KOSSDA serves as a central repository for social science research data throughout Asia. The organization's training programs equip researchers with specialized skills in qualitative methodology, statistical analysis, and archived data utilization. KOSSDA conducts regular workshops focused on research design, analytical techniques, and dataset navigation. These educational initiatives support both emerging and established scholars working with Korean social science materials. As an IASSIST member institution, KOSSDA coordinates data sharing networks across Asian research communities, exemplified by hosting the 2014 IASSIST Asia Regional Conference. The archive provides infrastructure for evidence-based studies of contemporary Korean society and regional social phenomena. KOSSDA's international collaborations facilitate knowledge exchange between data archivists and social scientists throughout Asia.
