LA NECEDAD

LA NECEDAD is a sound concept from the Afro-Caribbean where it is explored through different musical genres. Led and produced by El Necio, also known as LuisFra Colon, it is based on the oldest and most traditional music of Puerto Rico up to the sounds of our present. From plena, aguinaldos, and bomba to reggaeton, reggae, and trap. In 2023, they released their first official EP titled ‘PRIMERAS DUDAS,’ and then they published several singles such as ‘Dime si es verdad,’ ‘Algo que decir,’ ‘Tu placer, mi delirio,’ and ‘X lo que fuimos.’ Part of the vision is to accompany other artists as a concept/band. As a band, they work as a duo and have performed live since early 2022, playing around Puerto Rico. They incorporate poetry into their performances and manipulate electronic effects using everything from drums to keyboards and saxophones.
