About Soledad
Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Commercial Engineer, specializing in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Academic Vice Chancellor of the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez since May 2014. Throughout her career, she has served as Professor of the Center for Applied Economics of the Department of Industrial Engineering of Universidad de Chile and the School of Government of Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. Between 2006 and March 2010, she served as Deputy Economist Minister of the Court of Defense of Free Competition. Between March 2010 and March 2014, she served as Undersecretary of Planning and later as Undersecretary of Social Evaluation, participating in the preparation and processing of several bills, such as the one created by the Ministry of Social Development and Ethical Family Income, among others.
