Stacey McNeill writes children's literature focused on childhood emotional development, with her work appearing in elementary school libraries across Ontario. Her 2022 debut picture book "I Think There's a Monster Who Lives Under My Bed" reframes traditional monster narratives through the lens of friendship building. The book has been incorporated into several Canadian school district reading programs for grades K-3. McNeill holds a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Toronto and has completed specialized training in bibliotherapy through the Canadian Association of Child Development. She regularly collaborates with child psychologists and educators to develop story-based tools for addressing common childhood anxieties. Her work integrates established developmental psychology frameworks with accessible narrative structures. Based in Toronto, McNeill conducts workshops at regional education conferences and contributes to childhood development publications including Young Minds Quarterly and The Reading Teacher. She partners with the Toronto Public Library system for their annual Summer Reading Initiative. Her upcoming projects include two additional picture books scheduled for release through Scholastic Canada in 2024.
