Lyia Meta is an International Multiple Award winning singer, songwriter and exhibited visual artist.
She spent her early childhood admiring her father’s paint brush fly across huge expanses of canvas. Each stroke left her in awe and wonder at the magic he wove.
Of local Portuguese descent she was born in Malacca, West Malaysia. She doodled, sketched and painted from as far back as she could remember but made music her life and performed in various parts of the peninsula.
To date she has released two EP’s, 15 singles and has been nominated over 30 times for music awards across the globe. Her commissioned art pieces have found homes in UK, Australia, Netherlands, Singapore, USA, Moscow, Hawaii, India, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
Art to her is the ability to speak through colours, nuances and stories. Each piece she paints tells a story.
“I am a self confessed romantic. I paint on influences and emotions that hold sway over me. It is a journey within a journey that opens strange doors. Often the path leada me to places I would have never dreamt of seeing or discovering.”
