lyrics

There was one time, years ago, that I dreamt that I was in this sort of silver lake.

It was kind of close to this big glade.

And I was kind of drifting on the water, and it was very still, and very, very foggy.

This thick sort of grey mist surrounded me, and I couldn't see anything really.

But when I looked up, I could see the sky, and it was all these sorts of azure stars.

And you know, the moon was shining very brightly. This sort of ardent glow that it had.

And kind of as I was going across the lake, I looked behind me, and there was a boat in the distance that I could hear coming, and it was making ripples on the water.

And as the boat got closer, it kind of came up through the fog, and I could see light from the boat.

And it was a small, brown, wooden boat with a red robot in it.

Kind of like from the movie “Robots”. Almost. But more real, and more menacing.

And it looked at me with these sort of like bright red eyes. And it was paddling very fast, faster than I was. And it was gaining on me, and I was very scared.

‘Cause when the robot got to me, I felt like I was gonna drown. Um yeah.
