I’m a Unicorn on Medium: Early Retirement, Real Wealth, and Nothing to Sell

Why my story is different: real financial independence, credentials, early retirement, and nothing to sell.

Spend five minutes scrolling through Medium and you’ll notice a pattern. A lot of personal finance stories are written by people who haven’t actually retired, haven’t managed money professionally, and haven’t built wealth beyond what they’ve read in books or scraped from the internet.

There’s nothing wrong with that. Everyone has a story worth telling. But here’s where I’m different.

I retired at 42. Not semi-retired. Not hustling courses or coaching. Actually retired.

I’m also a CFA charterholder with more than 20 years of experience in finance. I’ve run risk teams, managed investment products, and held FINRA licenses.

And I’m a third-generation self-made millionaire. My mom’s dad retired at 47. My dad retired in his 30s. Then I followed in their footsteps and retired at 42.

Each of us was self-made.
