Woke up, just fantasising
About each other arms
And dying to live
Marriage, romance, adventure
Felt like a little kid
So I kicked the front door down
To the house that time forgot
A lick of paint, a new stud wall
changed the rust -seized lock
it crumbles in my paw
molting fur drops
human hands emerge
our fingers interlocked
Took the white sheets off the mirror
and set the warped floor straight
went swimming, floating, dreaming
this life’s new great escape
the sunshine’s breathing
exalts out my face
and waves waves waves waves waves waves
All of them at once from every ocean
crescendo deep inside my chest
I fill up and drown
falling, I dont want it to stop
full, forever
buoyant in the night sky, constellations ripple around us
Could it be?
Still
The flowers this summer
when I woke
were so fragile, and bright
a harmless fantasy of love
kept me smiling
late last night

I joined the Kosmos Club at Bandcamp and each month have no idea what curated album I’ll be buying. WMD’s “A Portal to Here” is the album I was sent at the start of this month. 7 months in the Kosmos Club and I’ve liked all sent to me to the extent that I’ve followed up and bought more releases by the featured artist. Last month at this time I’d never heard of WMD, now I have 3 of their albums and love them all. This one is shaping up to be my favourite. The long-form pieces are wonderful dthorp
