Ok ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Here’s the thing. I’ve been on this godforsaken site for a Very Long Time and I quite like it. I also work as a software engineer and I know how expensive it is to keep websites going. I know a few folks who worked at Tumblr. I want them to get paid, because otherwise the site goes away. And as I said, I quite like the site.
Now, that’s not an endorsement of the behavior of the mods or the corporate overlords or AWS that hosts them or fucking anyone. Every month I give Tumblr less than I spent on breakfast this morning (and I get a blaze included) because I want the blue monster to keep existing, and there is no ethical consumption under capitalism.

hang in there, folks. hold on to the stuff that makes you happy, even if everything else is a fucking disaster. talk to people, make weird art, write unsettling fanfic that I can cackle at at 3am, and just. keep going. we all just have to keep going
good news is coming for us 👍 even if it feels a long way off right now
here’s to a happier year
