i said that what my grandpa said, “wouldn’t you run away if you saw someone covered in scabs and sores or if they looked sickly and contagious? animals tend to stay away from a sick member of their herd. that’s how others feel about the gays and autistic people, they know something is different about them and stay away. it’s human and animal’s nature”, was a good explanation as to how they are. that is not true, i didn’t mean it as in that it was justified or anything, i meant i understand how they think now, viewing gay and autistic people as sick and it is truly a gross thing to think. there’s something wrong with conservatives, not gay or autistic people such as myself.

all the ones i know are either homophobic AND racist, for example, or one or the other. if they aren’t racist, they hate gays and if they aren’t homophobic, they hate people of color.

I mean, they obviously hate “illegals” too and most of them, anyone who isn’t white, but whatever. There is a large difference between hating Islam and hating Arabs, and they all seem to hate Arabs and call them slurs. Like, people hate Christianity, which a lot of white people are, but most of them likely don’t hate white people.

Seriously, my grandpa is “very MAGA”, as he calls himself, a “radconservative” or something. He is very open about his views on people being able to freely speak their minds without censorship, yet he gets REALLY mad when I say the following:

So, I saw an account from a friend that said “Do not talk to me if you’re radical feminists (radfems)”. If it’s because of TERFs, I understand, but what about the rest of radical feminism? I sort of understand what it is but not why it’s bad to want to change the system and defeat the patriarchy or whatever.

We were learning about this in school. I’d imagine the majority said they wouldn’t do this, but there’s definitely some who thinks it’s a good idea (like my uncle, ahem ahem).

So my girlfriend/myself and her (platonic) partner have a lot of different viewpoints. For starters, the partner, “Alex,” believes that undocumented immigrants are “illegal” and breaking the law, but my girlfriend and I think that immigrants of any kind make countries better. Alex hates ICE because Alex thinks they are at least too brutal, and Alex supports LGBT as a non-binary person but is a Christian with a lot of more “conservative” views (Alex isn’t COMPLETELY conservative, but their views could be considered that).

Isn’t it common sense that people breaking the law should get deported and go back to where they came from? For Pete’s sake, I wish people were more conservative about this!

So, today, I saw a sign on my school group’s wall saying something about undocumented people being welcome here, which I strongly agree with. They should be welcomed as much as any citizen (I’m American so a lot of this will be in relation to my observations in the USA).

Governments will change, people on the top might change. The question is whether they will face any consequences for their actions. Will the US as a whole face any consequence of its actions. Like the consequences other countries face when they do the stuff America is doing right now.

The next version of an international council needs actual authoritative power. There’s no point if someone just decides they don’t want to listen and will do whatever they want. Veto power should be curtailed if a supermajority of countries are in agreement otherwise a bad actor will push their weight around.

A theory as to why hero worshipping is a phenomenon, is that someone who is deemed to be innovative and useful could pass on the know how to the group in order to collectively survive and thrive. And from my observation, a dark parallel applies to “villain” worshipping. Like, someone who is already brazenly and unashamedly corrupt is still fawned over upon. Deep down, the supporters must be thinking “Impressive. How are they getting away with it? What are they doing that I could also do, to get away with such shameless act?”
