DJ, label boss, tastemaker, artist in her own right: NAINA is exactly the kind of person you want telling you who you should be excited about in dance music right now. And, alongside her daily hosting duties on Apple Music Club, she channels all of that expertise into NAINA Presents, a weekly radio show on which she invites DJs and producers to record mixes. They range from underground names to “big, legendary players”—and once a month, she also offers up her own set. “It’s all about my own curation, and it’s my chance to show you what I’ve gone digging for,” she says.
There’s a feeling of community that drives NAINA Presents—and a trust between her and the names she selects to appear on it. “I trust them because I know they’re going to absolutely kill it, and they trust me in the sense of my curation and who I invite on,” she says. “It’s just about being a fan of each other really, which is the cutest thing about dance music.” Expect conversations with her guests, she adds, that probe deeper. “The music will speak for itself, regardless,” she says. “I want to give artists something a bit different and get to know them on a deeper level. It’s the best job in the world, really.”
