When you’ve reached the superstar heights that Feid has, the tendency to do big things becomes inescapable. Fans have already seen the Colombian hitmaker make such moves on recent projects like FERXXO VOL X: Sagrado and the joint effort LOS 9 DE FERXXO Y SKY ROMPIENDO. With all that in mind, EL GREEN PRINT: La Saga (Disc 1) — FEID VS FERXXO strongly indicates the beginnings of something grand and ambitious, in spite of the fact that it’s only 20 minutes long. Nonetheless, he covers a lot of ground with these seven tracks, starting with the reggae-fied “Que vuelta vox”. He vacillates between the amorous clubbiness of “El Hexxo”, the late-night reverberations of “La Mejor Música” and the yearning balladry of “Boleritoxx”. Midway through, he reunites with Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba for the retro-futuristic, high-intensity “Medellín Takai” before reverting back to a familiar, formidable reggaetonero mode for the shapeshifting “TRANKAITO”.
