I am not a critic. I'm picky about what I watch, and I rate based on my enjoyment. If certain elements, like animation quality for example, are exceptional, that contributes to whether or not I'm having a good time. Therefore, my average score is relatively high.
That being said, I'm always grateful for recommendations, and I never drop an anime I've started.
First and foremost, take your time, as you might notice my message also comes late with all the work and stuff to do right now :)
And tbh the shows are the better the more comfy/resting time you have anyways!
The santa collaboration thingy was a fun thing this time around, rarely happens, but sometimes we can do it 😇
I think I will solve the riddle which part is from me :D
Me also loving Hyouka so much! (Rewatch count: yes) Still need to finish to read the manga, though it's hard to get your hands on the 4th manga volume, cause Tokyopop keeps pushing back the reprint date ^^
And it's such a blessing that this community had an angel called mery for such a long time ~
I'm glad I was allowed to push you to finally watch Shoushimin, after watching the 2nd season I was so hyped up I really was hoping I would have the option to give it to someone :D
Though I won't tell you too much more than I already did, it's just something to experience and then know ^^
(and lets see maybe we suddenly talk some time in PMs again when you were able to watch more of it :) )
I wanted to drop by to thank you for your recs. I can tell you put a lot of effort into your gift and I truly appreciate it. I was genuinely moved by how thorough you were in taking into account all my gift ideas and the overall genres you noticed I gravitate towards. Just wanted to give a heads-up too, that at the time I’m writing this comment, I’ve only had time to finish 'A Letter to Momo' and watch the first episode of 'Yatagarasu', since post-holiday times have been a bit hectic for me.
I’m really into court dramas and definitely plan on continuing 'Yatagarasu'. I’m excited to see what awaits me (I got hooked from the get-go). 'A Letter to Momo' had everything I enjoy in anime all at once and brought me a somewhat similar sense of joy and emotion that usually only Ghibli films do for me. I have a soft spot for Japanese folklore and family dramas in general, so this felt perfect for me. The yokai trio’s shenanigans were certainly a fun time :). I plan to watch 'Fune wo Amu' after I’m done with Yatagarasu. Even though I was already aware of it, your rec helped pique my interest and I take it as a thoughtful encouragement to bump it up on my priority watch list.
I’m sorry to hear that my sign-up form gift ideas caused you a stressful time during this event. I do have to say, though, that you’re a great gifter and I hope this does not discourage you from joining the event again next year. Hope these holidays have been kind to you, and I’m sending you a FR if that’s okay with you!
