True you see memes and spoilers for all the popular shows on social media while they're airing which is very annoying. I do manage to usually avoid too many spoilers before going in but there's some stuff that is close to unavoidable. Yeah I'm sure I'll love Gintama when it comes to the samurai aspect though I hear the show is mainly comedy which isn't really a genre I'm a big fan of but if it's rated this highly I'm sure the comedy must be goated like Kaguya-sama for example. Pretty funny you said Pluto has pacing issues towards the middle cause that was one of the biggest complaints with Monster (tbh it was pretty much my only complaint lmao).
Yeah exactly it truly felt like you were a part of their world throughout the whole anime. Origination really is the full package when it comes to SoL which is what made it just that much better than any other SoL I've watched. Those 13 episodes of Origination is definitely one of the best set of consecutive episodes I've seen in any anime. Yeah exactly it's the only kind of stuff that gets me emotional tbh haha. It doesn't have scenes designed around making you emotional like some other shows but it's the way they get you attached to the characters during the show that really just makes you feel like that when watching some of those episodes during Origination. The lack of opening sequence is so nice as it shows how alive the world is without even needing the dialogue. Also the songs are so good that you wouldn't even want to skip them so seeing new stuff every once in a while is very nice. Haha definitely Aria the Masterpiece.
Yeah the first movie served as a really good introduction to the franchise. I see you watched the 2nd movie as well and also enjoyed it.

Damn Kubikiri Cycle seems pretty interesting. I'll consider watching it someday. Haha fair on being impatient waiting can get very annoying especially when everyone is hyping up stuff. Yeah Vagabond seems peak honestly. I'm a massive fan of samurais and that whole era of Japan and apparently it has similar themes to Vinland Saga. Genuinely seems like something that could end up being one of my favorite pieces of fiction ever. Also the MAL rating for it is crazy high. 20thCB is also something I've gotta read someday. Monster is easily one of the best anime I've ever watched it might not be one of my absolute favorites but objectively I can't name many anime which I think are better than it. Some people say Monster is way better but I'm sure anything by Naoki Urasawa is gonna be goated. I also need to get around to watching Pluto also. Apparently it's his weakest work but I'm sure it's still really good.
Yeah it's honestly crazy just how much they manage to make you care for the characters. It wasn't until Origination and honestly a couple of hours after finishing it where I realised just how much I loved all these characters. The author did a fantastic job to make you get attached to the characters while not even needing a proper story. They just showed them going on with their usual life. The Aria characters are not just characters made to have a good story. They are characters that just live their life's like anyone else does. Could say this in general about Slice of Life but it was highlighted just so well in Aria and unlike other SoLs that I've watched this managed to have such crazy emotional highs and character development. Episode 9 of Origination is peak fiction. Origination in general just goes crazy hard. I've mentioned in the past that I don't really get too emotional but man Origination had such insane emotional highs for me. Probably not the most common pick but I'd say overall my favorite episode was Ep6 of Origination. The episode where Alice asks Alicia why she never gets mad at anything. That was one of the best life lessons I've seen in an anime. Haha yeah Neo-Venezia is definitely my answer now as well it's such a beautiful world. Also the soundtrack overall and all the openings are just so good as well they fit the anime perfectly. Honestly every time I think back on Aria I just keep remembering it more and more fondly. I just finished it but man I already miss its world and characters already. Genuinely an anime that will forever stick with me. Actual masterpiece.
Btw I see you started Garden of Sinners. Hope you enjoy it. There's some questionable movies quality wise but some of the movies are really good and make the whole experience worth it.

It does make sense that they just use the same teams for most of their stuff with how they all have a similar feeling. I haven't actually watched Kubikiri Cycle. Is it any good? Yeah same on catching up too early. Main reason I don't watch seasonals while they are airing as well. I really don't like cliffhangers. Yeah it is very nice to see that they are still continuing Berserk. Berserk and Vagabond are 2 mangas I have very high hopes that I'm gonna like. People always call it the big 3 of Seinen with Vinland Saga and that's already one of my favorite anime of all time so I'm sure I'm gonna like the other 2.
I'll probably watch S2 as well. I'm honestly curious at how edgy something can get. Especially considering how edgy S1 already was.
Haha thank you. I was holding off saying anything until I finished everything. After thinking about it for a bit I decided to give Origination a 10/10 for now. While it might not have the grand story I'm usually looking for in one of my favorites. I've rarely in my life liked something this much. The characters are so likeable and have fantastic development throughout the 3 seasons. Neo-Venezia is my favorite world I've ever seen in an anime. The mix of fantasy and sci-fi in it is incredibly well done. The story is so simple but manages to be so beautiful and emotional at the same time. There's some beautiful life lessons in it as well. While there were some great episodes in Natural. Origination specifically manages to literally only have banger episodes. Every single episode was pretty much a masterpiece. Favorite character in the show for me was Alice for sure. Loved all the development she had. My favorite pair though is Aika and Akira for sure. But in general I've rarely seen a cast of characters this good. No dislikeable character and they're all so likeable. For someone that wasn't really the biggest SoL fan in the past. Aria truly blew my expectations away. I really didn't think it would become a Top 5/6 anime of all time for me. Just outside my Top 3 anime of all time alongside 3-Gatsu and Vinland Saga.
