I love My Sleeping Karma. Every album triggers deep emotion in me, as much as any other in my collection — and I'm all about emotive and evocative music. My Sleeping Karma is purely atmospheric and transcendent rock, the ideal band for exploring consciousness and life. This was my definitive band during my three years living in Hong Kong, so in a way, I consider their music the soundtrack to that city. "Brahama" at 3:12 — oh man, the memories.

Listening to My Sleeping Karma after some time away always hits me with the same thought: this band is amazing. I don't have a favorite album — they all blur together in my mind as one great masterpiece. There's a spiritual side here, not just in the band's name and Hindu-themed track titles, but in the sound itself. Their message comes across perfectly through music alone, without vocals or lyrics. No other band in the genre has resonated with me like My Sleeping Karma.

My Sleeping Karma is by far my favorite psychedelic rock band, the group that introduced me to this entire new style of rock. I've never found another band in the genre that does it for me like this. All of their music is deeply important to me, for the memories it holds and the spiritual force it carries. It might be the only band whose discography I could listen to from beginning to end without skipping a single track. And how about that intro to Glow 11? Incredible.
