Administer and implement the Navajo Weights & Measures Programs, which enforces the implementation of National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST).
Navajo Business Opportunity Act

Provides preference to certified business entities conducting business within the Navajo Nation. BRD maintains a certification program.
Navajo Nation Corporation Code
5 N.C.C. Chapter 19 § 3100
Requires all legal corporate entities to formally file and register all required documents with BRD.
Weights & Measures

Inspects and certifies all weighing and measuring devices used in commercial transactions for legal trade.
