Thorn Crown 02:00
Crucified by what’s inside: our last embrace poisons my mind. I can’t live with myself and this life without you. “You are forgiven.” Why?
2.
Eye of twilight, grant me sight. Bridge the realms of those that are and once were on this night. Death is not the end, it will speak if you listen; and in my hour of need you promised you would come back for me. Angel of death, where are you now? I’ve waited so long to hear your call. Summoning apparitions, shadows dance through divination. The burden of life shall be no more- tracing sigils to shed this earthly form. Death is not the end, it will speak if you listen; and in my hour of need you promised you would come back for me. Angel of death, where are you now? I’ve waited so long to hear your call. A vile requiem wrought unto me, guide my hand as I prepare for sleep. I lay down my life in ritual sacrifice to be with you again tonight. Glory be- please set me free.
3.
Blood Moon 03:52
Betrayed by the light of the lord who lies. If time separates us, then I alone shall wait- they cannot kill what will not die. Fallen empires stretch out for miles, but you’re the only victim for whom I weep. I wait for the moon that turns the mountains crimson red. The taste of blood is all I crave thinking of you… …longing for only you. I follow all of the impaled bodies, my only company on the long ride home. Demons wait in the wings to do my bidding, I would have found you in any lifetime. My evil is infernal, my love is eternal (as I grant you the blade it calls out my name) Release me from this curse- let my blood flow. As above, we will meet below.
4.
Crucible 04:33
Tragedy will find us when the bloom falls off your rose; and you, my sun, now are setting for the final time- I repine. I watched you fade away as your body grew weaker every day. I held you in my arms as my world was torn apart. My sadness, hanging like a moon, watching over the oceans of you. Traversing the waves and depths of grief to find purpose…to find peace. I am drifting, I am drowning, the blackest water takes control. I am weightless, I am nothing. Without you, I’ll succumb to the undertow. I watched you fade away as your body grew weaker every day. I held you in my arms as my world was torn apart. In vain I try to turn the tide, to return to our youth (that which betrays) Wearily you rest and gaze into my eyes. Under the shade of the agave, you tell me it’s time. I bless your vessel as angels surround you with the scent of lavender and sage. One last breath, please don’t go. This pain will last forever- oh, how I love you so. I watched you fade away as your body grew weaker every day. I held you in my arms as my world was torn apart. Lamentation ritual, laceration of the soul.
5.
Found through fate, bonded by love vaster than the sky above. Oh, these nights exhume memories so cruel; as the devil speaks beneath the pale light of the moon I feel the evil wash over me. Do you hate me like I do? I’ve bled for so long to find some kind of truth. Do you hate me like I do? My world has been reduced to shades of black and blue. I keep the flame lit outside of your tomb, for I saw the light through you. “In time, you will find that this will pass away. When it does, I’ll be waiting here and see you again someday.” Death is not the end. Love will always transcend.
6.
Where I am I feel no pain, but I can still remember how it felt bundled up in your arms speeding through the rain. You held my body as the life fell out from me. And though I could barely make a sound, I could hear your mournful cries. I felt it too- you know I loved you. In your darkest dreams, you can find me to comfort you. In your blackest days, please remember I am right beside you, waiting…. because true love never dies. I was called to the other side, but don’t cry…because true love never dies. Curse the night, there’s never enough time for me to visit you in your mind. But until we meet again, aim your arrows at the sun; let the light you showed me pour down on everyone. In your darkest dreams, you will find me to comfort you. In your blackest days please remember, I am right beside you, waiting. True love never dies- I was called to the other side.

Torment 03:53
Fevers and mirrors…they reflect onto me the guilt. A bottomless pit of self-abuse, there’s no excuse for why angels have to die. Forgiveness eludes me, for I remember the night. Darkness consumes me, for I remember the night. Vividly its morbidity creeps back into my mind, a peaceful sleep awoken in panic and sweat. The bright lights and cold tile floor, you always hated it here. It shouldn’t have ended like this, but it did. Forgiveness eludes me, for I remember the night. Darkness consumes me, for I remember the night. Your voice faint trying to speak, I listened intently as I held you tightly and I cried forever.
8.
Requiem 02:55
Tender is the flesh, I held on until nothing was left. This fragile life waxes and wanes. I watched you slip away, peeled from reality. Wrought with guilt, paralyzed by fear. Alone in the dark I am falling apart. Oh, you were everything to me- now reduced to carbon, only a memory. Ashes in my palm, a keepsake in a box; a hammer and nails, your body on my cross. The pendulum swings through lucid dreams as I bide my time- cold as life, heaven is a lie. Wrought with guilt, paralyzed by fear. Alone in the dark I am falling apart. Oh, you were everything to me- now reduced to carbon, only a memory. But I pledged an oath unto thee: bonded beyond death, yours eternally. And though you’re gone, your love remains…

The Dark 04:11
The sun is setting, stars have burned from the sky. A voice whispers out to me: “There is no reprieve.” I replay that night, damned within my own mind. Reach for the sky as I ask why we are born into this life of pain and loss, inflicted on us by a god that nailed his only son to a fucking cross. Bent halos on my headstone, I cannot be saved. Blacked skies above bleed, I will not be saved. The sun is setting, and stars have burned from the sky. My fate is sealed: emptiness. Resigned, I take one last breath as I close my eyes and think of our last caress. Grief consumes me eternally, this gaping wound will not close. Throne of vapor, an empty chair, pled for help but no one was there- God’s silence was deafening. Bent halos on my headstone, I cannot be saved. Blacked skies above bleed, I will not be saved. Gnashing teeth and weeping, in this earth I’ll sleep. Fallen angels by my side, flames engulf me as I cry. Fallen angels by my side, they’re begging me to die. I hear the darkness call my name…God’s silence is so deafening…
10.
Wrath 04:28
A voice from beyond calling out, I offer it this blood to commune with you as I deepen the wound. The horrors begin to take shape, but I have to look away. They manifest unto me blasphemy, for all I see is you as the life that I betrayed. A mockery of love, an inversion of light; wield the blade, kill with righteous spite. Eyes filled with endless sorrow as I turn back and face my pain. As the filth and the shade attempt to break through their unholy gate, I summon you and your strength, always. These demons of misery won’t seal my fate. Now this bridge from below has to burn. Flames of hurt consumed me, but now it’s their turn. Eyes filled with endless sorrow as I turn back and face my pain. Twist the knife, kill with righteous spite- I have to let it die.

about

BLEACHED CROSS return with “Wrath”, a towering and emotionally devastating full-length that pushes the band’s blackened post-punk sound into darker and more cinematic territory than ever before. Across ten tracks, the Chicago band explores grief, loss, death, and redemption through crushing atmosphere, industrialized tension, and massive melodic hooks - all while balancing oppressive heaviness with moments of genuine vulnerability and catharsis.

Recorded with Andy Nelson at Bricktop Recording in Chicago, “Wrath” was built with an obsessive focus on mood, pacing, and sound design, often creating intensity through noise, texture, and negative space rather than sheer force alone. The result is a record that feels immersive and haunted, pulling equally from darkwave, industrial music, post-punk, and extreme music while remaining deeply rooted in emotional storytelling.

Following several releases and shows alongside artists like Frail Body, Secret Shame, Black Magnet, and Cloakroom, BLEACHED CROSS deliver their most focused and fully realized statement yet: a mournful, cinematic descent into personal hell that ultimately searches for healing in the shadow of loss.
