Lots of cheddar and cream cheese. Tomatoes & lots of chives go on after broiling the cheese on the eggo until it just starts to burn. I season with liberal amounts of Tony C’s and MSG.
Old photo. Had a picnic for Father’s Day last year. Made a couple giant sandwiches. There was an identical one except with turkey. Actually had a guy approach us and ask where we bought them. They were fantastic. Obviously I let my Dad take home the leftovers.
Did the 40km Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail (Victoria, AUS) and had a really nice grilled chicken sandwich at a cafe in Warburton before riding back.
Nothing fancy; honey mustard (we ran out of stone-ground) on the bottom, followed by baby spinach, some braunschweiger, tomatoes, and garlic & herb goat cheese on the top. Probably could’ve used more spinach, I think.
Toasted sourdough pastrami sandwich, with spinach, red onion, avocado, red capsicum, homemade pickles, mayo and mustard. It was decidedly too big to eat in typical sandwich form, so this was how it was consumed.
A good little shop in philly. They cant claim the best cheesesteaks in the city, but the make a very good one. I swear next time I go Ima try on their other sandwhices. Fries for scale.
