I wouldn’t put it past the US government to pull some shenanigans, and I certainly wouldn’t rule out the possibility that some aspect of it was a lie. That being said, I have yet to see any evidence that it was faked that isn’t simply a misunderstanding of the science.

Yeah, “best politician” isn’t really a compliment. The best ones are good liars who commit egregious acts while retaining a base that still worships them. Trump is formidable in that respect, though I think Obama is better. Obama did a lot of shitty things and is still widely adored, whereas most of the population will readily admit Trump is a piece of shit.

I find myself on the phone trying to spell something and come up with words that begin with each letter. Agreed that it’s a solved problem and everyone should just learn it.

But SLS uses Space Shuttle engines and that landed in a runway.

As I was filing my taxes, I was just thinking about the video someone posted here recently where military weapons were firing and it was racking up huge sums as shots were fired. All the US citizens on Lemmy paying taxes amounts to a few air to air missiles.

I thought it was a stereogram, but alas nothing popped out at me.

Edit:

Maybe more like this with stubby legs and a long neck?

I guess that’s technically what he said, just not all of it. 🙄

I would’ve assumed it would be made from plexiglass.

Just watched the video. It’s hilarious that it breaks the glass, pauses for a few awkward moments, bats its eyes, backs up, then just sits there batting its eyes.

There’s a kid’s book called Positive Ninja where the advice is to reframe situations using the word yet. As in, I haven’t been successful in accomplishing this yet. With this kind of positive thinking going around, those robots better have a care. 😉

They’d probably like to come colonize our planet, but with 2x the gravity of Earth, I bet it’s hard to build a rocket that can actually get them into space, much less travel 1800 light years.

My cat is always trying to trip me. Then again, she looks and acts like one of her parents was an African wildcat straight from the savanna. Even when she’s being purry and cuddly laying in my nook, she keeps trying to lovingly bite my face off and when I play with her, she does backflips several feet into the air trying to catch whatever toy I’m animating for her. Little creature is half wild!

Yawn, we all know how this goes. So what model am I not supposed to use? I’ll be sure and avoid it, though I’d much rather avoid downloading their leaked weights like I avoid other things I’m not supposed to download.
