Another post about the design of an AR application through which students and factory workers can learn to operate a reactor for chemical reactions. We considered interactivity in our app and used interesting mechanics such as “drag and drop” to select the right device in the initial interaction scenario. The user can grab the reactor with their fingers and pull it to the core of their workspace, thus triggering a scenario to explore the reactor. Stay tuned, more concepts are coming!

Augmented reality technologies are becoming increasingly important in education, providing unique opportunities for interactive and in-depth learning. AR enables the creation of realistic simulations that visualize complex processes and objects, making them accessible and understandable. We have designed an AR interface for students and plant employees to learn how to operate the RTU-800 chemical reactor. Chemical reactors are complex and expensive facilities that require a high level of knowledge and skill to use safely and efficiently. The AR-helmet-based application provides users with the opportunity to interact with a virtual model of the reactor, learning its design and operating characteristics in a safe and controlled environment.
