Ah snake skeletons are so beautiful and satisfying to look at! For #skullsundays today here's a pic of a few baby animal skulls I took a couple of years ago after I'd finished cleaning or fixing them up there is a baby capybara a piglet and a puppy I love getting younger skulls to compare with the adult skulls I find it interesting although I do always feel a bit sad that they didn't survive into adulthood. I'm feeling pretty stressed today as our poor rescue sphynx Indy is in quite a state after what the vet thinks is a bad allergic reaction so me and my husband have been spending even more time trying to make sure he is comfortable before even attempting to try and do any work and I was struggling enough to get work done before just because of my health issues! So I'm really frustrated as well as stressed I want our poor kitty to be feeling better and I really want to get some work done too...

The answer to today's #teethtuesday is a juvenile civet! I love looking at the teeth of juvenile animals especially when you can see adult teeth starting to come though If some of you saw me mention my cat not doing too well earlier he's been to the vets and he's had a bad allergic reaction he has allergy issues but has never reacted like this before since we've had him But he's got some steroids for a couple of weeks to try and help him recover so hopefully he'll be feeling better soon...

I was really pleased with the positive response I got recently when I posted a work in progress pic of the vertebra planters I'd put together and they are on etsy now! There's a few different ones to choose from so go have a look! It's been quite a while since I've had some human bones to work with but I recently got the majority of a small adult spine including a nice atlas bone that you can see here These are clearly old bones that are from old medical/teaching skeletons the vertebrae are quite small but hardly any remaining suture lines so I think it must have been a small adult. I've still got lots of photos from the Comparative Anatomy museum in Paris that I haven't posted hehe I took so many photos when I visited! Some of the photos aren't great though as a lot of specimens were behind glass and reflections made things tricky and some of the photos I can't remember what animal it is haha But I like this photo elephants and a manatee! Its lovely seeing an elephant skull with tusks present I'm still super exhausted so am struggling to work I saw my osteopath...

I've still got a few American badger fur pieces I am going to put the remaining pieces on my etsy but I keep forgetting to get measurements! This piece is a really odd shape though it's obviously had bits cut out of it previously but I wonder if someone could do something creative with it! These pieces of pelt do shed a bit but are still really nice (I wish I wasn't allergic to most fur!) Would anyone be interested in this random piece?
