Easy - I made a giant apple slab pie for the crowd this afternoon, and it’s so much easier than crimping edges on a bunch of individual round pies. It’s basically just a huge, thin sheet of cinnamon-sugar apples that you can cut into squares like brownies.  2 boxes refrigerated pie crusts (4 crusts total) 6 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced thin 3/4 cup granulated sugar 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small bits 1 egg, beaten with a splash of water 1 cup powdered sugar 2 tablespoons milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract  I rolled out two of the pie crusts and pressed them together to fit the bottom and sides of a big rimmed baking sheet.
