Yep, I rewrote my portfolio again. I just
want that perfect design for my site which just clicks, but I suppose
thats pretty hard to find. Also, yes, the title is stolen borrowed from Johnny English.
Now, back to the basics. I'm PyBash. I build sites, apps(hardware projects
too now, I guess?). I got into this stuff from trying to build a Discord bot
A fictional pybash
a long time ago, soon after my "Gamer" phase. Introduced to Scratch in middle school. Soon after, I built projects(I now find cringy) like
UnHackable. This was followed by a "backend" phase, which didn't stick and
I eventually learnt and liked working with frontend technologies.
Something else that played a key role in this journey was the Tech with Tim channel and community :). From the content, to the people, it was the stepping
stone. During this free time(courtesy of COVID-19), I participated in hackathons(and
won a couple), and found a whole new world of opportunities.
And that brings us to today. I've had the opportunity to work at several
startups, meet cool people, take wrong decisions, build failed startups, and do things I could never imagine. I've worked on tons of cool projects like Supertable, Rift, and Palet. Recently, I've also started to enjoy
working with electronics, and stuff. Built a cool little CCTV prototype using
just an ESP32-Cam.
Started out as a mini project for school but eventually I went on to
build a cool little prototype of CCTV. It's super cheap - all you
need to get it up and running is an ESP32-Cam and a VPS. My
prototype uses an UDP server along with WebSockets to transmit
frames from the ESP32 to the website. The website uses a password
based authentication on a model-by-model basis to keep the streams
secure. As far as current statistics go, I was able to achieve a
stable frame rate of 10-15fps with an average latency <300ms. I
have plans to improve it further by adding motion detection and
better visibility in the dark using PIR sensors and Infrared
cameras.

Retro is the New Trendy
I like to take photos of pretty things. Here is a glimpse of
shots I've taken on vacations. The polaroid style frames are
also built by me, originally to fill up my "labs" or
"experiments" site.
Crypto for the Mass?
A glimpse of what we built
Or so we thought. I worked at Rift where we tried to build a marketplace
for selling things on the internet except the payments would be through
crypto. Originally planned for the Colloseum hackathon. We envisioned
a creator platform which empowers creators with micropayments, token-gating,
and reward systems. A platform that also helps with increasing community
engagement in the new creator economy. We were 3 people working closely
together, and we had managed to get grants for the development from
Superteam.
We developed the original prototype over the course of multiple weeks
but eventually discontinued it after talking to several investors,
potential creators, and the general audience.
I recently built an android app(iOS too expensive) which lets you scan the barcodes of food items or even search for them and can tell you what is healthy and what isn't. So, are you ready to live a healthier life?

AI vs Humans: Will the new economy survive?
My work at Deva.me
At Deva.me, I worked on their core platform to aid the development of a new
economy of AI "devas" which can help you earn. I helped develop many
of the core functionality including the notification systems, profile pages,
and settings. I also built a robust and versatile multi-level autocomplete
system along with paginated results that is used throught the platform. Other
than that, I worked on the new landing page, parts of the backend systems,
helped with core infrastructure decisions(such as the pygration), worked
on improvement of the overall user experience. We envisioned a place where
you learn, teach and earn at the same time through a new layer 1 token from
10Planet.
4-in-1: Hobby Projects
In 2022, I was just transitioning from hardcore backend to frontend, I
worked on a bunch of small hobby projects such as BeFit, and RRPM, all
of which are now abandoned and probably broken. I also won some prize at
a hackathon building BeFit. This year was filled with experiments,
learning about emerging technologies, and stuff like that.
Connecting artists and their fans
Solo - a marketplace we built to allow artists to launch limited edition
pre-releases of their upcoming songs signed by themselves. We used
crypto as the underlying technology to facilitate the selling/purchasing
aspect of the marketplace. We built this primarily for Buildspace N&W
S2.
Distributed social reward system
At purp.game, I helped develop a leaderboard to view and share rewards
over a distributed social network aka Farcaster. Both creators and their
followers were rewarded for interactions with the post.
Airtable on Steroids
One of my first gigs. We were a team of 3 who worked hard to create a
custom typeform alternative backed by Airtable for Superteam India. We
received a grant from Superteam for the same. We built a fully featured
form client and admin interface with themes, custom fields, and even
support for custom domains.
Yet another failure: OpenAI crushes ElusidateAI
I co-founded an unsuccessful startup in 2023 before the AI hype. A place
to convert all your satistical data into beautiful graphs, charts, and
presentations with detailed analysis in seconds, and completely
automatic using the original GPT-3. But to our disappointment, a couple
days after our launch, OpenAI launched Code Interpreter, which
essentially could do exactly what our app promised to do, so we ended up
shutting down. We had managed to get a few users, and a few demo
requests from business users in that short time frame but ultimately it
did not work out and I get to brag about that here now, so I get it
wasn't a complete failure. The old web app still lives here.
The startup was also featued on SaasProjects the same year.

Colors in Figma: A Solved Problem
Palet was a small project of mine - an adventure of sorts. I built a
site and a figma plugin which could create a color palette out of thin
air from any text prompt. The plugin and the site were in sync so any
palette you generated on the site could be used in your Figma designs,
or you could generate new palettes directly in Figma too.
Authdeck: How it all Began
Authdeck was my very first professional project and job. I remember
asking my friend to hire me and buy me Discord Nitro as salary. The
project was part of the original buildspace nights and weekends program
where we demoed to over 50 people including Farza. I was fairly knew to
frontend at the time, and that adrenaline rush of finishing tasks
minutes before the demo were fun noneteless. We were also able to raise
grants from Devfolio, ETHIndia, and Superteam.
