About Roots and Soul Foundation
Rooted in Connection. Growing Community.
Roots & Soul Foundation is a nonprofit created from growth, not rebranding. What began as a small gathering of families naturally evolved into a deeply connected, living ecosystem rooted in presence, relationship, and shared responsibility.
We exist to cultivate spaces where families can connect in ways that feel grounded, intentional, and emotionally safe. Through community gatherings, educational experiences, and collaborative projects, we support children and parents in growing not only academically, but relationally, emotionally, and spiritually.
We are spiritually grounded, though not religious. We honor the soul, the earth, and the unseen systems that sustain life, including nervous system awareness, emotional intelligence, and the rhythms of nature. We believe growth begins from the roots up, through connection rather than control, and cooperation rather than competition.
What We Offer
Roots & Soul Foundation supports families through several interconnected programs, each serving a different season of growth.
528 Rising is our community and spiritual connection space. It brings families together through gatherings, shared experiences, and local events that nurture connection, presence, and a sense of belonging.
Soul Seeds is our learning pod for children in transitional kindergarten through 4th grade. This program centers the whole child, blending curiosity, creativity, emotional awareness, and nature based learning in a relational, supportive environment.
Wax & Wane serves older elementary and middle school aged youth through creative entrepreneurship and mentorship. This space supports self expression, confidence building, collaboration, and practical life skills, while honoring each child’s individuality and developmental rhythm.
Desert Lilies is our mothers’ group. It offers a grounded, supportive space for women to connect, reflect, and grow together through shared experiences, conversation, and mutual care.
Together, these programs form a living ecosystem that grows alongside the families within it.
Who This Community Is For
Roots & Soul Foundation is for families who feel called to live and learn with intention.
This community resonates with those who value kindness, presence, and mutual respect. Those who are emotionally aware, or open to learning. Those who communicate openly and calmly, model the behavior they hope to see in their children, and support cooperative, creative play and shared responsibility.
We are mindful of the energy we bring into shared spaces and believe differences can be held without conflict.
We welcome mothers and caregivers who wish to engage, participate, and grow alongside their children, not as spectators, but as active members of a living community.
We are also intentional about the environment we create for children. Emotional safety, empathy, and respect for self, others, and the natural world are central to everything we do.
Our Foundation
At a certain point, it became clear this work needed structure, not to limit it, but to protect it. That realization led us to formally create Roots & Soul Foundation, build a board, and give this community the foundation it deserves.
Not just a foundation in the traditional sense, but in the truest meaning of the word. The ground everything grows from.
The name Roots & Soul reflects this truth. We believe resilience can be gentle. Growth can be quiet. Strength often lives beneath the surface, like roots drawing nourishment from unseen sources.
