  • Oatmilk creamers, yeah, sure…but like others, it’s too thin for me.

When I buy nut milk, I prefer soy…I hated it when I was younger but idk if my palate changed or the product changed, but now it’s my favorite. It’s also among the most nutritious (pea milk is pretty strong there, too), and requires the least amount of water to produce (that is, from seed to bottle)

  • Legislate mandating firewalls and routers have easy to use parental controls for internet settings.

Sorry but no. That would drive up the cost of all firewalls and routers, for no real reason, except that the manufacturers can because the government says they have to. And most firewalls that offer content filtering need some sort of a subscription to keep the filters up-to-date.

Never mind the fact that a router’s job isn’t content filtering (it’s routing).

Todays parents grew up exposed to the internet. If we don’t know how to protect our own kids and teach them how to safely use the internet, then we are hopeless as a generation.

Btw, Cloudflare WARP is free for a small number of users and has a pretty decent web filter built in. It’s far from easy to use, but it’s free and effective. I use it on my 9yo’s Fedora laptop, and as long as he can’t sudo, he can’t turn it off. And if he even tries to sudo, he will be reminded that he’s not in the sudoers file, and this incident WILL be reported.

  • I do kind of feel there’s a psychological component to it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was comorbid with pedophelia.

It takes a certain type of person to become a billionaire…there needs to be a severe and untreated antisocial personality disorder underneath all of it. If you’ve got that, add in a bit of opportunity (usually just being born rich) and a bunch of enablers and baby, you got a billionaire.

Once you get to billionaire level, it’s just a cyclical disease. The privilege and recognition and power that just comes along with hitting Billionaire status in the first place is enough to continue to feed it more and more.

There is no cure…you can only treat the symptoms by donating all assets and earthly possessions. Then cognitive therapy can begin.

  • Hey there’s lots of things you can say about Trump without going right to body-shaming.

I’d prefer “Gold-plated calf”. It demonstrates both his worthless shell and the chunk of lead underneath. Nothing of value there. Just something dense and toxic.

Not to mention the biblical reference to him and his base.

Some, I assume, are good people.

Not to directly quote Donald Trump, but I have to assume that some are, actually, good people. In fact, I’d almost want to believe that the majority of them are…just misled, misinformed, and legitimately didn’t see Trump as any sort of a saint, but still somehow saw him as ‘better than Kamala’.

Whether that was implicit bias or their racism/patriarchy showing, or they had an actual reason based on what they believed to be facts they received…who knows…but I like to believe that the majority of them are the latter.

Maybe that’s just my New England suburban white-boy privilege showing.

I also think that the only people that are still driving around with giant Trump flags on their trucks (or especially bikes), are either paid to do so, or are legitimately pedophiles themselves. I’m sure a homeless guy with a bike isn’t too expensive if they are gonna be riding it around anyway.

  • Or who listens to corporate media.

It was a couple years later that the telecommunications act of 1996 killed radio and enabled shit like ClearChannel and Cumulus to own most all of broadcast radio and all the DJs that remain are beholden to their corporate overlords and shareholders.

Just like Nexstar and Sinclair got all the TV stations, they bought the local newsanchors.

People who you may have been watching/listening to for years, now a puppet of the shareholders.

Seemingly every opinion they give on anything must be something that won’t upset the shareholders.

And that’s bad. That means they bought your trust. It’s priceless. And you didn’t get a dime.
