An extraordinary food ordering app providing a one-stop-shop solution for clients to order their favorite meals from exceptional chefs near them. Being built as part of course SEG2105 at the University of Ottawa by SEG2105 Group 4. Multiple entities or objects of data representation (User, Client, Chef, Meal, etc.) have to be accessable and modifiable from different parts of the application, and changes in data should be represented on the user interface efficiently. By taking inspiration from the Chain-of-responsibility design pattern, Modal-View-Controller design pattern and the Dispatcher-Action-Handler pattern, we resorted to implementing a code structure and data handling pattern that helps achieve loose coupling, lesser dependency on external frameworks (like Firebase) and more modularization. Every app instance would have UI components (activities), which will only contain code needed for user interface. UI components, use the App instance, to make calls. -

Restaurants nowadays require modern solutions to handle daily tasks, especially when it comes to order handling as bookkeeping is outdated for modern times, in which human fault might cost the facility lots of money. Restaurant Management System (will be referred as RMS from now on) offers the following to tackle the problem. Store the configuration of the given restaurant and its menu to easily handle reservations and orders. Create and store orders for the requested tables. Generate and save bills when requested. Storing the restaurant configuration: configure facility name, table/seat counts, and menu with the ability to modify them in the future. Users will have the ability to modify the data through the “Configure Facility/Menu” section of the app. Create bills for the chef (backend): The application will first send the order to the kitchen for cooks to see, prepare, and fulfill the order. -

It is an invoicing application for restaurants and hotels developed in JavaFX. Maintains database in MySql hence multiple applications can be installed, sharing the information of clients and orders. Keeps track of the orders received from individual tables and generates a printable pdf invoice (automatically calculates the discounts and taxes) in the end. Manages a history of the visitors, their visit frequency, favorite table and items (based on order history). It also keeps track of the number of items sold (weekly/monthly) and especially for drinks it notifies how much volume of a particular drink is remaining.
