Project Puddleby (Windows Remote IT) News

The basic remote control modules for pcAnywhere, Windows Terminal Services, Citrix Metaframe, and VNC are all now functional along with some basic logging. Posting of current source and OCX cabs will begin as soon as we have figured out how the dickens to use CVS from Win32.

This module will provide client-based functionality similar to standard ping, traceroute, whois, nslookup, and as many as possible of the other "one-liner" tools.

WHY REPRODUCE THIS FUNCTIONALITY?

By doing this through embedded objects, output can easily be captured and filtered.

WHAT LANGUAGES FOR IMPLEMENTATION

To maximize portability, plain vanilla Jscript and VBScript will be used. Test platform is Windows XP/IE 6/WSH 5.6.
