    Pros: IT Retail is a great POS solution. It is founded by a grocer and has very practical applications. I've been using it for over ten years and it works great for our operations.

    Also, their support team is really responsive.

    Cons: We had some hardware integration issues but they were resolved immediately.

    Overall: Great Software and would recommend to any grocery operation. The software has more capabilities than its competitors.

    "Struggling along with this point of sale"

    Pros: Works well for most things.
    Technical support agents are very polite and helpful.
    Reporting is adequate for most purposes.

    Cons: Cannot download my customer list.
    Many things that have been wrong for months don't get corrected.
    We tried to order a hand held scanner and they wanted $600! These are $20 on Amazon.
    There is no customer service person assigned to an account to make sure things are up to par.
    One scale works well, but the second, identical one won't read our in-house bar codes.
    Their servers are sometimes very slow, giving inaccurate sales figures during the day.
    Accounting doesn't really show us where we stand on payments.

    Overall: Fair. We have invested a lot of money in these systems and overall I am very disappointed by the systems at IT Retail because we have to be the squeaky wheel to get any help. Tired of sending emails over and over about the same things. There is no account rep to follow up and make sure things got resolved. The hardware is not first class. One of the monitors is crooked and we have it propped up with cardboard.

    "Back Office Functionality"

    Pros: The entire back office system is very user friendly. And easily navigated.
    The format of the pages are easy to understand and if/when looking for a particular report or looking to make a change in a product or function I can usually locate without having to reach out for assistance.

    Cons: I believe that initially the only Con or suggestion I would have is that the set-up/software package include a touch screen for the back office user.

    Overall: As an employee with no experience with IT Retail I was able to utilize the system with little training.
